The Sugababes Dropped From Live Nation...
Following dismal sales of their new album it looks like The Sugababes have been dropped from Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label…
They’ve been one of the biggest UK female pop groups of the past decade (we haven’t bothered checking the stats, we’re just guessing. But apart from Girls Aloud who is there really?) but it looks like the Sugababes are losing their sweetness.
With a line-up that’s seen more changes than Heidi Montag’s face, there’s been a low level of disdain for the group since they ousted Keisha Buchanan leaving no original members in the set-up. And this has transferred to sales as their seventh disc Sweet 7 entered the album charts at number 14 last week before dropping to 36 in this week’s midweeks! It’s the girl’s seventh disc under the moniker and the first to be released in the States with Roc Nation… it also looks like their last after they were removed from the official Roc Nation website.
The news will surely be celebrated by the original line-up of Keisha, Mutya Buena and Siobhán Donaghy who are fighting to reclaim the Sugababes name they began their careers with back in 2000.
